Heard Around the Dance Floor
Donamarie, my dance partner, booked a lesson for the two of us with a
well known Salsa Coach. When I saw her out the other night at a
fundraiser, she said "Our Salsa lesson on Sunday is at two". I then
proceeded to ask her if it was going to be "On One?". She said, "No,
it's at two o'clock not one o'clock". "Yes" I said, "At two but is it
"On One?". Oh.... she replied.."No, not on one it's on two and at two.
Dona then went on to say, "But he also has the one o'clock hour
available too." Well, I said, "If we take the One instead of the two
would it be "On One?" Not sure whether I was just being difficult or
stupid, Dona looked up at me (she has to look up as she is quite short)
with a little bit of a squint of sorts and said, "No Chuck, whether we
dance at 1:00 or 2:00 we will be dancing On Two, Ok?? Do you get it
now?? "Yes" I said, I think I get it now. : ) ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Great Debate
________________
One thing most Salsa Dancers know is that they don't always know what the preference of another Salsa Dancer may be without asking. So, as a male and the individual that would usually lead the dance I feel it's polite to ask especially if one has the ability to adjust. On One ? or On Two? That's about where it ends for me. For those that would like a little bit of a more in depth point of view check out Ashley "Angel" McKenna's thoughts below.
