Cara has had a passion for food and service from a young age. She spent her childhood in the kitchen learning to cook with her mother and throughout her teen and young adult years, she volunteered much of her time cooking and serving meals to those in need with organizations such as Jr. Civitan, Reach, Project Angel Food, and Harvard Square Meals. “Food is my love language and cooking for others is how I express it.” She attended high school and college in New England, where she studied both Finance and Art History, and it was during a school study abroad semester in France where she discovered her love of wine.
After graduating from college, she began her career in New York City where she worked as a sommelier, wine director, general manager, consultant, and earned her WSET Diploma in Wine and Spirits. Fifteen years later, Cara moved to the Rogue Valley to join the team at DANCIN Vineyards. Her focus is working with the winemaking, culinary, and hospitality teams to create an experience that exceeds guest expectations on every visit to the tasting room.
