We are honored to be featured in this story about Rogue Valley Winemakers in Wine Enthusiast Magazine! We are also grateful to be a part of this collaborative winemaking community, located in one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world.

From the Wine Enthusiast article:

“DANCIN is among the leaders. The brand burst on the scene in 2010 with five Pinot Noirs, three of which included Rogue Valley fruit, and a single Chardonnay. Those classic Oregon varieties…have been joined by a long-term commitment to Italian varieties, particularly Barbera and Sangiovese.

"Experimentation with multiple Pinot Noir and Chardonnay clones produced as many as 15 Pinot Noirs and seven Chardonnays. Those classic Oregon varieties, which currently occupy two-thirds of the estate vineyard, have been joined by a long-term commitment to Italian varieties, particularly Barbera and Sangiovese.

"The Barbera has been a revelation. The 2017 was a massive, black-fruited, brilliantly balanced wine. A Port-style version and a rosé were bottled in 2019. But the experimentation doesn’t stop there.

"The 2018 Synergy surprised with its comfortable two-grape alliance. The Barbera, which represents 75% of the blend, dominated. The Pinot Noir, not a grape generally blended with anything, added a lightness, elegance and a vein of raspberry to the darker flavors."

We are excited to share that the original DANCIN estate is organically farmed. Additionally, once those vines were established, we intentionally extended the date on which we began our first irrigation in an effort to ultimately dry-farm these vineyard blocks. In 2015, irrigation was applied on July 15th and in 2020, it was applied on September 3rd. This year, in 2021, we finally met our goal and were able to dry-farm for the entire season!

We continue steadfastly on our annual winegrowing (and winemaking) journey while being good stewards of the land that provides us with the opportunity to yield a delicious harvest through each growing season.

We invite you to visit us in person or shop our wines online and discover the multifaceted flavors of DANCIN!
